For cultural heritage enthusiasts and creatives tired of superficial fast fashion, Oni Threads offers something different: clothing with meaning, story, and resilience stitched into every piece.

What’s Next for Oni Threads?

With the $2,500 Friends and Family Grant, Aliké was able to officially form an LLC and transform Oni Threads from a concept into an operational business. The grant also funded their first professional vendor booth—where Oni Threads sold out its debut collection, proving both demand and cultural resonance.

Looking ahead, Aliké plans to expand production, grow Oni Threads’ presence at vendor markets and cultural events, and continue designing apparel that empowers people to wear their stories with confidence.

The Friends and Family Fund provides early-stage capital—up to $2,500 each month—to underrepresented entrepreneurs launching bold ideas. Through Sky’s the Limit’s community-powered pitch process, more than $500,000 in grants have been awarded, helping founders like Aliké scale their vision.
