Q: What inspired you to start your own business?

A: I was inspired to start my own business by my parents who are both entrepreneurs themselves.

Q: What keeps you motivated day-to-day to keep working on your business?

A: Providing for my family keeps me motivated to work on my business day-to-day.

Q: How have mentors and other entrepreneurs played a role in moving your business forward?

A: Alexandra T. of HP was an awesome help for me in working through some of my challenges. Alexandra helped me to prepare my pitch for the 2024 HP x Sky's The Limit Fuel The Dream event. As a result of her efforts, I came in second in the competition and won a 4-figure grant for my business.

Coming in 2nd at the 2024 HP x Sky's The Limit Fuel The Dream event provided funding to help support marketing and additional equipment to support the work my business does.

Q: What’s the #1 challenge you’ve faced, and how’d you overcome it?

A: Figuring out how to showcase my product and drive revenue without tons of funding has been a huge challenge. I was able to overcome by lots of brainstorming and talking to potential users to get feedback.

Q: How did you approach funding for your business?

A: Initially, I wanted to seek outside equity funding, but I'm currently bootstrapping my business.

Q: How do you manage your time between working on your business and other aspects of your life?

A: I'll be honest, I focus the majority of my time working on my business in hopes that I'll have more time for the other aspects later on.

Q: Any words of wisdom or inspiration you’d give someone just starting out?

A: Never stop learning and don't be afraid to try things. It's ok to fail, just do it fast and get it out of the way so that you can learn what works.
