Q: What inspired you to start your own business?

A: Inspiration for the start of Harvey Media, came from simply enjoying learning how to make content with what I had, while being a solution to a need for someone. That’s all creativity is, not necessarily art, but how to find or be a solution to a problem.

Q: What keeps you motivated day-to-day to keep working on your business?

A: My daughter is my main motivation to not only move my business further, but continue to build it, giving her a physical representation of hard work mixed with passion.

Q: How have mentors and other entrepreneurs played a role in moving your business forward?

A: I would not be where I am today, without the many mentors, near and far, who gave me wisdom and opportunities to learn and develop my skills, in which turned into a business today.

Q: What’s one challenge you’ve faced, and how’d you overcome it?

A: My number one challenge as a social media marketer, is honestly balancing my time on social media, and prioritizing my personal time.

Q: How did you approach funding for your business?

A: All out of pocket.

Q: How do you manage your time between working your business and other aspects of your life?

A: Understanding priorities. Opportunities and tasks will come and go, but at the end of the day, I want my daughter to know me. I want my wife to feel loved, that’s what really matters to me.

Q: Any words of wisdom or inspiration you’d give someone just starting out?

A: All you have, is all you need.
