Q: What inspired you to start your own business?

A: My need to provide income for my family during the pandemic when we were all locked down.

Q: What keeps you motivated day-to-day to keep working on your business?

A: The legacy I am building for myself and my family and the ladies that I work with. Providing options for women to have the lives they deserve and desire keeps me going.

Q: How have mentors and other entrepreneurs played a role in moving your business forward?

A: Sky's the Limit staff and connections from the platform, including mentor Martha Zapata have been helpful. They pointed me to resources that were helpful for me to build my business and stay encouraged during this process

Q: What’s the #1 challenge you’ve faced, and how’d you overcome it?

A: Funding — Sky's the Limit and other such organizations have helped tremendously.

Q: How did you approach funding for your business?

A:  Initially, bootstrapping, then pitch competitions, and grants. Sky's the Limit awarded me with a grant that came at a time where I was really discouraged. I felt like God was saying, "I see you. You're on to something...Don't stop."

Q: How do you manage your time between working on your business and other aspects of your life?

A:  It's a learning process, but I have the support of a coach who helps me to navigate this. I couldn't do it without her.

Q: Any words of wisdom or inspiration you’d give someone just starting out?

A: Use what you have and start where you are. Surround yourself with likeminded individuals. Rest and don't quit!
